Privacy policy
Your information, handled plainly.
What we collect when you use this site, why, who else sees it, and how to have it changed or deleted.
Effective October 1, 2026
The short version
- We only collect what you type into the booking form, or tell Ruter, our AI booking assistant, to arrange the demo you asked for.
- Ruter is an AI. Your messages to it are read by Cloudflare’s AI service to fill in your request, and we don’t keep the conversation.
- No cookies, no analytics, no ad trackers. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
- We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- If you become a client, your customers’ information is used only to serve you, under our contract with you.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
If online booking isn’t open when you visit, the form says so and sends nothing: your answers stay in your browser.
1. Who we are
This website is run by ruterlabs (“we”, “us”). For any question about this policy or your information, email hello@ruterlabs.com.
2. What we collect
We only collect information you give us yourself. We don’t buy contact lists or gather information about you from elsewhere.
When you ask for a demo: the job you’d hand over first, your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number (optional), roughly how many inquiries you get a week, the days, times and time zone that work for you, how you’d like to meet, and anything else you choose to tell us. When you send it, we save it in our booking records and email you a welcome note confirming what you asked for.
When you chat with Ruter: Ruter is an AI assistant on the booking page that fills in the same demo request from what you type. Each time you send it a message, that message, the conversation so far and the answers filled in so far go to Cloudflare’s AI service, Workers AI, so it can pick out your details and answer your questions. We don’t keep a copy of the conversation. Only the request is saved, and only when you press Send, as described above. If you’d rather not chat, the “Fill in a form” option sends nothing until you press Send.
When you contact us directly: if you email or call us, what you send, such as your name, contact details and message.
When you visit any page: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We don’t run analytics of our own and don’t keep our own copy of these logs.
3. How we use it
- to fill in your request as you chat with Ruter, and answer your questions about the demo
- to send you a welcome note confirming your request
- to reply to you, arrange your demo and shape it around your business
- to follow up about that same demo
- to keep the site working and secure
We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.
4. What’s kept on your device
This site uses your browser’s own storage, not cookies, for the entries below. Nothing in them is sent to us, and nothing is used for advertising or tracking.
| Entry | What it does | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|
ruterlabs-sound | Remembers whether you turned the site’s sound off with the switch in the header. | Until you clear this site’s data in your browser. |
ruterlabs-demo-requestthis tab | Keeps your booking answers while you fill in the form, so a reload doesn’t lose them. | Until you close the tab. |
ruterlabs-ruterthis tab | Keeps your conversation with Ruter, so a reload doesn’t lose it. | Until you close the tab, press “Start over”, or send your request. |
ruterlabs-book-modethis tab | Remembers whether you chose to chat with Ruter or fill in the form. | Until you close the tab. |
ruterlabs-demo-requestkept | Keeps your answers for later, only if you press “Keep my answers on this device”. | Until you press “Clear my answers” or clear this site’s data. |
To remove any of them, use the sound switch or the “Clear my answers” button, or clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings.
If our host needs to check that a visit isn’t an automated attack, it may set a short-lived security cookie, such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. These exist only to protect the site and aren’t used to track you.
5. Do Not Track
We don’t track you over time or across other websites, and we don’t allow other companies to collect information about your browsing through this site. Every visit is treated the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
6. Who we share it with
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts and protects this website, stores demo requests in its database, and runs Workers AI, the AI service that reads your messages to Ruter.
- Resend, which sends our emails, including the welcome note you get after booking. It keeps a copy of each email for up to 30 days.
- Proton AG, which runs our email inbox, where your request and your replies arrive.
These providers handle your information only to provide their service to us, and may store it in the United States or Switzerland. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal request. If ruterlabs is ever merged or sold, your information may move with the business, still covered by this policy.
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
7. How long we keep it
- Demo requests that don’t lead to working together: deleted within 12 months of our last contact, along with the emails about them.
- If you become a client: for as long as we work together, then as long as we need it for tax, accounting and legal records.
- On your device: as set out in the table above.
8. Keeping it safe
This site is served only over an encrypted connection, and it loads nothing from other companies’ servers. Your information is seen only by the people at ruterlabs who need it to arrange and run your demo, and by the providers named above. If a security breach ever affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
9. If you become a client
The workflows we build for a business may handle information about that business’s own customers, such as the inquiries and bookings they send. For that work we act as a service provider to our client: we use that information only to provide our services to them, under our written agreement, and never for our own purposes or for sale.
If you’re one of our client’s customers, their privacy policy explains how your information is used, and requests about it go to them. We’ll help them answer.
10. Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@ruterlabs.com and we’ll respond within 45 days, at no charge. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so we never hand your information to someone else.
11. Children
This site and our services are for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we’ll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also say so at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
